Challenge

VMware Solutions is a global leader in cloud infrastructure and business mobility enabling enterprises to develop a software-defined approach to business and IT along with data centre, mobility and security solutions. 

The company required consolidation of their two Melbourne offices into a new space to accommodate 126 seats and amalgamate two business lines under the VMware brand. We were appointed to deliver a staged office fit out that met their operational needs while creating a design that reflected their image and culture. 

Approach

The strategy addressed the issue of previously under-utilised space and contributed to a better work environment and improved amenities. The new workspace incorporated a combination of organic-shaped workstations, collaborative work points ranging from quiet booths to enclosed meeting areas, and green walls and artwork to create an inviting and practical working atmosphere.

Due to staged handover of the tenancy, relocation was staged in two parts.

Result

We delivered a vibrant and flexible Activity Based Working fit out that reflects their dynamic image and culture. With the success of the new office heavily dependent on creative design solutions aligned with budget and time constraints, we accommodated VMware’s design changes on time and within the budget.
