The Christchurch office market remains soft given the quantum of supply which has entered the market over the past 18 months. As the office development pipeline nears completion conditions should begin to improve in the CBD, but there is some significant space to be absorbed in the interim. Positive has news has recently emerged with Spark committed to a new building on the ex BNZ site adjacent to Cathedral Square due to be delivered in 2019.
