Supply and demand remain balanced resulting in little movement. There remains uncertainty surrounding seismic issues and government changes. Despite this there is investor interest in anticipation of market improvements... Demand for Wellington office space, as measured by net absorption remained positive over the first half of 2013. All of Wellington’s submarkets recorded positive absorption as tenants saw the opportunity to acquire space as several options became available and rents in general have continued to soften.
