Ron MacDonald is retiring after more than 40 years working in valuations.

He rejoined JLL in January 2011 after more than nine years at Colliers International.

Prior to this he was Director of Valuations at JLL for 13 years.

His experience extends to the South Pacific where he has carried out valuations of commercial, residential and industrial properties over a long period in Fiji, New Caledonia, Samoa, the Cook Islands, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

He has overseen a wide range of portfolio valuations including commercial, retail and industrial premises both in New Zealand and overseas.

Ron has extensive experience in the valuation of major shopping centres and major commercial offices throughout New Zealand for a wide variety of clients.

In addition, Ron has a special interest in rental consultancy and rent reviews including ground rentals and has experience as an expert witness in arbitration and high court hearings.

JLL's National Director of Valuations Dave Wigmore says Ron will be missed.

"Ron has had a huge influence at JLL and has mentored many graduates over the years who have benefitted from his vast industry knowledge, professionalism and great sense of humour. We wish him well for his retirement."
